with both sides of my tobacco farmer/etc familes from just west of the filming location in northern NC, I have always loved that show.. despite Ron Howards current libturdiness.. Don Knotts was also an acting talent that still remains intriguing .. today, Hollyweird talent/politics has been hijacked by "outside" interests, and will never be what it was in the 50s, into the 70s ..
I really enjoy these posts here Mr. Dixie D. ! as always, God bless Dixie !!
